TURMERIC DELIGHT

INGREDIENTS

– Fresh Turmeric Root

– Fresh Ginger root

– Fresh Mint leaves

– Cardamom

– Pink Himalayan salt

– Cayenne Pepper

– Agave Nectar

– Lemon

– Spring or Filtered water

– Rescue Remedy by Bach

DIRECTIONS (1 liter batch)

You will need a juicer for this.  If you dont already have one, treat your self!!!!  To begin select a small handful of turmeric, toss it in the juicer.  Next for the ginger either put an equal amount of ginger or if you prefer less spicy add half the amount.  Once you have the turmeric and Ginger juiced which will end up being a small amount of liquid add 1 fresh squeezed lemon to the juice pitcher.  I like to add some of the spices into the mix prior to botteling.  You will notice that when you do poor the mix into a bottle some of the spices will stick to the bottom of the juice pitcher.  Once the brew is added to the bottle of your choice top off with your water source.  Leave a little room to add more ingredients.  Next comes the agave.  Agave is a very strong sweetener so use sparingly.  Add in cayenne, salt and cardamom to taste.  A pinch of each goes a long way.  As I have learned it is always best to start with little and add in more as needed.  This will allow you to develop your taste buds and become a top mixologist of your own.  I finish the batch off by adding in fresh mint leaves and 4 drops of Rescue remedy by Bachs which is flower essences that are great for lifting the spirits and relieving stress

Turmeric

Turmeric – known for its powerful anti-inflammatory & anti-oxidant properties. This powerful root has been used for centuries throughout India to treat a wide range of disease and illness including: cancer, liver disease, arthritis & diabetes. Turmeric is great for the skin when applied as a mask, and is used to keep the immune system strong when combating cold & flu.

Ginger – another powerful root with vast medicinal properties. Commonly used to treat various types of stomach problems, including motion sickness, morning sickness, upset stomach, gas & diarrhea. Other uses include pain relief from arthritis, muscle soreness, menstrual pain, cough & bronchitis.

Cardamom – a relative to the ginger family; known since antiquity for its medicinal & culinary properties. This tiny seed, according to traditional ayurvedic wisdom is effective in improving digestion due to its alkalinity and ability to reduce mucus in the stomach. Also used to combat bad breath, gum disease, sore throats & respiratory disease.

Mint – another herb with great digestive benefits. Often used to sooth the digestive tract when having a stomach ache, reduces irritable bowel syndrome & cleanses the stomach. Great for soothing the skin when encountering skin disorders such as rash or acne and even used to treat bug bites as it soothes the skin.

lemon – though acidic in taste lemons are alkaline and help to balance your pH. This citric acid helps to eliminate calcium deposits in the arteries and provides a huge dose of Vitamin C. Vitamin C as you know helps boost the immune system but also keeps the skin even toned and wrinkle free.

Cayenne – many herbalist argue that cayenne is the most useful and valuable herb in the herb kingdom – not only for the entire digestive system, but also for the heart and circulatory system. Capsicum (the active ingredient) is said to be unequal in its ability to boost circulation and increase heart action. Also acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used together.

Pink Himalayan Salt – millions of years old, pure – untouched by many of the toxins that pervade other forms of sea salt. Known in the Himalayas as “white gold” contains the same 84 natural vitamins & minerals found in the human body. Promotes stable pH in the cells including the brain. Encourages excellent blood sugar health and aids in the reducing of common signs of aging.

Agave Nectar – one of the most health promoting properties in agave nectar is its favorable glycemic profile. Glycemic index has a huge impact on your blood sugar levels. Foods that quickly raise blood sugar then trigger the release of insulin. Excessive amounts of insulin are a huge factor in diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. The carbohydrate in agave nectar has a low glycemic index which provides sweetness without the “sugar rush” & harmful blood sugar spike.

Spring Water – spring water is characterized by its purity at source, its content of minerals and trace elements. Much of our tap water as well as bottle water now contains harmful chemicals and additives, including fluoride. Floride is more toxic than lead and slightly less toxic than arsenic which is why it is also used in pesticides.
